Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Schmidgall has a twin sister and a younger brother. His dad’s career brought him to Colleyville, TX where he lived until he attended Texas A&M University. He then went on to receive his DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX.

Dr. Schmidgall and his wife, Michele, met during his residency at Veterans Affairs Hospital. Together they have two sons and a daughter. They are part of the Watermark Community Church in Fort Worth with their faith being a central part of their marriage, family, and practice.

As a youngster, Dr. Schmidgall enjoyed attention to detail, structure, science, and problem-solving. His mother was a nurse and his father an engineer, but he found healthcare to provide flexibility, community involvement, and to be more suited to his talents. He shadowed a local dentist, a man of faith, and became captivated with the impact dentistry could have on people’s lives.

Today, Dr. Schmidgall thrives when using his God-given talents to benefit those around him. He loves building relationships with our patients and helping them achieve their goals.

I've been to other dental offices and none matched the cleanliness or professionalism of Dr. Schmidgall and his team. Some doctors lose sight of their customers after the initial consultation, but he's doesn't. He's in the trenches with you every step of the way.

  • What do you do outside of the office?

Family is everything right now. When outside the office, I use my time to love my amazing wife, Michele, and our young kiddos, Luke, Kate and Tyler. Being parents is the most amazing gift. I also love to do anything outdoors, especially golfing, hiking, or camping.

  • Who is your hero and why?
My hero is my father. He has shown me how to lean on my faith in times of plenty and in times of need. Also, to be strong and content in whatever God brings.
  • What was the best day of your life and why?
My best day was when I accepted Jesus Christ into my life as Lord. It has changed my priorities and given me a real purpose. Anything good people see in me is because of the grace God has given me and the work he is still doing in my life day by day.
  • What is an interesting fact about yourself?
    I am a twin.
